Abstract

This article intends to carry out a review of the individuation of the processes of migrant adolescents from the perspective of their own life experiences, focusing on the vulnerabilization episodes they have gone through as evidence of their migration processes, their context status, development, and socialization. The main objective of this article is to analyze the different ways in which these adolescents face these hard times, from where migrant adolescents rely on diverse supports originated in their own migratory networks, and from their attachments, both from migration expectations and imaginaries related to their destinations and the construction of their life projects as adolescents. In order to reach these goals, this research has been carried out in schools from Recoleta, Chile, with data collected from different group interviews. The key aspects of this reflection, developed under the assumption that adolescent participation and involvement in the decision-making process regarding the migration process is essential, as well as the strengthening of their supports and the clarity of their attachments will be crucial for the co-construction of their processes of integration in their destinations.
