Legal higher education in careers with an economic profile in Cuba

Authors

Abstract

The legal education of graduates of careers with an economic profile in Cuba is a necessity for the performance of professional competences in their respective spheres of action. Such education has not had the desired impact, since it has not been developed with the required systematicity and depth, it has not been conceived as a process, or it does not take into account the technical-legal recognition of the legal branches in their relationship with careers, disciplines and academic years, which limits the comprehensive preparation of future graduates. Therefore, the objective of the present work is to propose a set of ideas or guidelines to improve the conception of the legal training process of students in careers with economic profile in Cuba, in order to enhance a better performance in the solution of professional problems with legal transcendence. The research methods and techniques used allow concluding that the legal training of graduates with economic profile in Cuba should be structured in two legal components: a general or basic one related to the general foundations of Law and a specific one based on the subjects of the discipline Law of Economics more related to the career.
